Congratulations, Miss Jarshee Jenkins!

Jarshee Jenkins, a native of Albany, GA, started her teaching career (2011) in Sylvester,GA at Worth County Middle School. She continued her educational journey at Carver Road Middle School in 2015. After graduating from Albany State University in 2010 (B.S. MGED), she continued her journey at Albany State University with an advanced degree (M.Ed MGED). In 2018, she completed another advanced degree at Kennesaw State University (Ed. S Teacher Leadership).
 
Her start in the field of education was in a 7th grade ELA class. It was there she knew that mentoring mattered and that teaching was truly a calling. Her passion for teaching, working with a mentoring program for young girls, engagement of students through song, and student centered learning helped to foster long lasting relationships with her students. All of these things helped with the continued academic growth for her students. Ms. Jenkins' educational journey has presented her with numerous leadership opportunities such as a curriculum writer for the district. 
 
Jarshee Jenkins is a very dedicated teacher who is driven by her students, parents, and community. Her zeal for teaching continues to blossom. She is proud to represent Carver Road Middle School as the 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year.
